Scores of students from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Sopore campus staged a protest against the killings of four civilians by government forces.
Carrying placards students raised anti-India slogans and marched in the premises of the campus in north Kashmir.
The group of students were also demanding strict action against the accused in the rape of eight-year-old girl Asifa.
Among the protestors were the female students, who raised pro-freedom slogans, calling for an end to the bloodshed in the valley.
Protests also erupted yesterday after the news about the killings of four civilians was reported.
Dozens suffered injuries during clashes with the government forces in Khudwani area of Kulgam yesterday. A shutdown is being observed in Kashmir against the killings of civilians.
