Militants on Monday late evening attacked an army camp with a grenade at Kakpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told news agency GNS that the militants attacked the army’s 50 RR camp in Kakpora with a grenade at around 8:30 pm.
In retaliation, army men fired several aerial rounds; however, there was no immediate report of any causality so far.
SSP Pulwama Mohd Aslam Choudhary when contacted told GNS that some fire shots and a blast like sound was heard near the camp.
“We have launched investigations and the incident is being ascertained”, SSP said.
Soon after the incident, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers, the officer said. (GNS)
