A man killed his brother over a land dispute in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, some 80 kms from the summer capital Srinagar, police said on Tuesday.
A police official told Kashmir Dispatch that during a clash between two brothers Ghulam Mohammad Wani and Abdul Razaq Wani sons of Abdul Satar resident of Hatigam, over a land dispute, Razaq attacked and critically injured his brother with a stick.
He was shifted to hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injures. The body was handed over his relatives for last rites after completion of all legal formalities.
A case FIR number 55/2013 under section 302 RPC has been registered in this regard, he said.
Man dies during scuffle
One person died in a scuffle between two groups over a land dispute in central Kashmir’s Budgam, he said.
Ghulam Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Akbar resident of Ramhama received injuries during a scuffle over a land dispute between two groups in village Ramhama.
The official said he was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed his injures. Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been started.
