Pulwama youth forced to opt for violence, MLA

While condemning the government for “unleashing reign of terror” on the people in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the local legislator alleged that youth were forced to opt for violence.

Peoples Democratic Party MLA from Pulwama Mohammad Khalil Bandh criticized the government for creating an atmosphere of terror and fear in Pulwama since last week.

The MLA said “the youth who are being forced to opt for violent methods as they find all the doors getting closed for them to express their emotions in a peaceful manner”.

Bandh while expressing his deep concern over the continuous siege of the region criticized the government for not allowing the people to express their anger in a peaceful manner. “The way government has clamped curfew in the area for last more than four days makes it clear that National Conference wants to suppress the genuine anguish of the people by forcibly putting them under siege and arresting the youth during crackdowns,” he said.
