As a part of its efforts to promote tourism related activities, the Jammu and Kashmir government Wednesday launched first ever artificial Rock Climbing activity at Tourist Reception Centre, Nowgam, Srinagar. The International Standard Rock Climbing Wall has been constructed at a cost of Rs.95 lakh. The Rock Climbing Wall is 12 meter in height with 3 faces for various types of events i.e. bouldering, speed and lead. [Pictures, Reporting: Mohmmad Yawar Kabli]

The wall was inaugurated by the minister for tourism. The first batch of climbers were a bunch of girls from a school. The little girls seemed to enjoy the climbing.

The girl in the picture just set herself free. I was caught surprised.
