2 tourists die in health resorts


Two tourists, including a child from West Bengal died at two prominent tourist resorts of the Kashmir valley, a police official told Kashmir Dispatch on Saturday.

They said Parbhal Chander Roy, son of Hari Ram Roy of Nilhatti Birham, West Bengal died due to cardiac arrest at KhilanMarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

His body was handed over to the family for last rites.

In a tragic incident in Pahalgam tourist resort in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, a three-year-old boy Rado Roy, son of Raju Roy of West Bengal was critically injured when he fell from the window of a hotel.

The injured boy was rushed to SK Institute of Medical Sciences, here, where he succumbed to injuries.

“The body of the boy was handed over to legal heirs for last rites,” the official added.
